  • 10 cloves 
  • 10 cardamom pods 
  • 10 black peppercorns 
  • 1 cinnamon stick 
  • 1 piece of fresh ginger (about 2 inches) 
  • 1/2 tsp of black tea leaves 
  • 1 cup of milk 2-3 tbsp of honey (optional) 

Instructions:

Step 1: Begin by adding 4 cups of water to a pot and bring it to a boil. 

Step 2: While the water is heating up, gather the spices and herbs you will need. 

Step 3: Add the cloves, cardamom pods, black peppercorns, and cinnamon stick to the pot of water. Peel and slice the fresh ginger into thin slices and add it to the pot.

Step 4: Let the mixture simmer for 20-30 minutes on low heat, allowing the spices to infuse into the water. Stir occasionally. 

Step 5: After 30 minutes, add the black tea leaves to the pot and let it steep for an additional 2-3 minutes. 

Sep 6: Add 1 cup of milk to the pot and bring it to a boil. Make sure to watch the pot closely, so the milk doesn't boil over. 

Step 7: Once the milk has come to a boil, turn off the heat and let the mixture sit for a minute or two. 

Step 8: Finally, strain the mixture into a teapot or individual cups, and add honey to taste if desired.
